Week 1 · Run 02 · October 16, 2026
Just right at 5 a.m.
I would have dressed more warmly on my own. The app's outfit advice was just right.
What the app suggested
Easy effort · Before sunrise · 4 mph wind
Read the outfit list as text
- Lightweight beanie
- Lightweight neck gaiter
- Lightweight long-sleeve top and lightweight fleece
- Warm fleece gloves
- Lightweight tights
- Thin socks and road running shoes
- Reflective vest and headlamp
I got out.
Apple Watch
What I actually wore
I wore the suggested layers, with two changes. The fleece gloves are still on the way, so I pulled my sleeves over my palms again. That worked. I also took a small flashlight instead of a headlamp; most of my route is well lit.
How it felt
The advice was just right. I didn't sweat too much, and it was a great run.
It's first-snow season where I live. Luckily, it melts quickly, and there was no snow this morning.
My feedback in the app
I chose “Just right.”
A note to myself
I forgot to tap Run Now before leaving again, so I recorded the run in the app after I got home. I'm now seriously researching HealthKit integration to bring Apple Watch workouts into RunOutNow.
